Request (REQ) is the utility token that powers the Request Network. The Request Network is an Ethereum-based decentralized payment system in which anyone can request a payment and receive money through secure means. The system aims to reduce reliance on third parties by enabling payments across global currencies, with invoices that can include terms and conditions and are stored on the network for tracking and auditing purposes.
REQ operates as an ERC-20 token on Ethereum, and a portion of its fees is burned according to supply and exchange-rate dynamics. The circulating supply is 999,912,165 REQ (as of February 2021) and the maximum supply is 999,983,984 tokens. The network records requests on an immutable ledger and integrates with legislation worldwide to stay compliant with trade laws.
REQ can be stored in wallets such as Metamask, MyEtherWallet, Ledger, imToken, Trezor, Atomic Wallet, Jaxx Liberty and Trust Wallet.
